Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information PalmRise Limited collects when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet our obligations under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
We have tried to write it in plain language. If any part of it is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.
Who we are
PalmRise Limited is a licensed money lending company. For the purposes of the Nigeria Data Protection Act we are the data controller for the information described in this policy, which means we decide what is collected and what happens to it.

What this policy covers
This policy covers this website and the enquiry form on it. If you go on to become a customer, the agreement you sign with us will set out further terms covering the information we hold for that relationship, and those terms sit alongside this policy rather than replacing it.
What we collect
We collect only what you type into the enquiry form. There is no other collection point on this website.
- Everyone who sends an enquiry
- Your name, phone number and email address; what your enquiry is about (a loan, a partnership, or something else); any message you write; a record that you ticked the consent box; and which page of this site you sent the form from.
- If you are asking about a loan
- Which loan product you are interested in, the amount you have in mind, and the repayment term.
- If you are asking about a partnership
- The country or city you live in, your employment status, your occupation, where the money for the partnership would come from, the amount band you are considering, how long you would like to commit for, when you would like to start, and how you would prefer us to follow up.
- If you go on to apply
- Identity and verification information collected during onboarding, which may include your National Identification Number (NIN) or Bank Verification Number (BVN), a means of identification, a passport photograph, bank statements, guarantor details and collateral details. We ask for these at the application stage, not through this website.
What we do not collect
We want to be specific about this, because most websites cannot say it:
- This website sets no cookies. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
- We run no analytics and no tracking. There are no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers, and no profiling of visitors.
- We do not store your IP address. To stop the form being abused we count how many messages arrive from one internet connection, using a one-way scrambled version of the address that cannot be turned back into it. The address itself is never written down.
- We do not buy personal data, and we do not sell or rent yours to anyone.
Why we collect it
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act we must have a lawful basis for processing your information. Ours are:
- Your consent
- When you tick the box on the enquiry form, you are consenting to us using your details to answer you. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and we explain how below.
- Performance of a contract
- If you apply for a loan or a partnership, we need your information to assess the application, to prepare an agreement, and to administer it afterwards.
- Legal obligation
- As a licensed lender we are required to verify the identity of our customers and to keep certain records, including for anti-money-laundering purposes.
- Our legitimate interests
- Keeping the form free of spam and abuse, and keeping records of the enquiries we have received so we can answer follow-up questions.
Why we ask about source of funds
Partnership enquiries are asked where the money would come from before anything else happens. This is a compliance question, not a sales one. It allows our legal team to review a profile early, so that we are not asking you for official identification documents, or issuing a contract, in a case we would not be able to proceed with.
Answering it commits you to nothing, and the answer stays with PalmRise.
Who we share it with
We share your information only where we have to:
- Our own staff, and only those who need it to respond to you or to handle your application.
- Service providers who act on our instructions, in particular the companies that host this website and carry our email. They process the information for us and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Our professional advisers, such as our legal adviser and auditors, where they need it to advise us.
- Regulators, law enforcement and the courts, where the law requires us to disclose it.
We do not share your information with anyone for marketing, and we do not sell it under any circumstances.
Where it is stored
Enquiries are delivered to mailboxes controlled by PalmRise, and a copy is written to a file on our hosting so that an enquiry is not lost if an email fails to arrive. That file sits outside the public area of the server and is not reachable from the internet.
Some of the providers we use operate servers outside Nigeria. Where your information is transferred out of Nigeria, we take the steps the Nigeria Data Protection Act requires of us before doing so.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we have a reason to:
- Enquiries that do not become applications
- Kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Customer records
- Kept for 6 years after the relationship ends, because we are required to retain lending and identity records for a minimum period after a relationship ends.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we explain how in the next section.
Your rights
The Nigeria Data Protection Act gives you the following rights over your information:
- Access. Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Correction. Ask us to fix anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete it, where we have no legal reason to keep it.
- Restriction. Ask us to pause what we are doing with it while a question is resolved.
- Objection. Object to our using it where we rely on our legitimate interests.
- Portability. Ask us to send it to you, or to someone else, in a usable format.
- Withdrawing consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Doing so does not undo anything we did before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these, email info@palmriselimited.com or call us. We will not charge you, and we will respond within the time the law allows. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we do not disclose your information to somebody else.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may complain to theNigeria Data Protection Commission. We would ask you to raise it with us first so that we have a chance to put it right.
How we protect it
- Everything you send through this website travels over an encrypted connection.
- The settings that allow the form to send email, including its passwords, are stored outside the public area of the server and are never part of the website itself.
- Access to enquiries is limited to staff who need it.
- The form carries measures to block automated abuse, so that mailboxes holding personal data are not flooded.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affected your information and posed a risk to you, we would notify you and the Commission as the law requires.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top of it. Where a change materially affects you, we will take reasonable steps to tell you rather than relying on you to notice.
